We may be a good fit if…
You are seeking a trauma-informed mental health therapist with which you wish to explore your strengths and challenges using creative expression. Together we can develop treatment goals that fit the growth that you envision and find tools appropriate to assist you on your journey of wholeness.
If you are interested in how art making can offer insight into your story and provide non-verbal language to access memories and dreams, then art therapy may be an exciting opportunity for you in your healing process.

I take a person-centered, relational cultural, and feminist approach in my practice. As a queer person of color, I know how important it is to find a provider who understands some of your unique background and experiences. I have first hand experience of the healing properties of art-making as a way to articulate emotions and experience that are otherwise difficult to express. Both the creative arts and movement can provide a vehicle from which complex trauma can be processed in safe, meaningful ways. I find that narrative-based therapies combined with approaches that focus on the whole person and a multi-cultural lens provide the best way I can meet people where they are at in their story.
I have always had a passion to advocate for the wellness of my peers. I began training in LGBTQ peer support as a young person in NYC with APICHA (Asian Pacific Islander Coalition on HIV/AIDS). I joined Audre Lorde Project where I was part of the Safe Outside the System collective and worked as an organizing consultant. I moved to the midwest to pursue an art therapy counseling degree at SIUE.
